Can I get to Preston without a car?
Yes, but it is slower. The 280 bus takes about 49 minutes and runs roughly hourly. The train takes from 45 minutes with a change at Blackburn. Most people doing this commute drive.
Am I tied in?
No. Under the Renters’ Rights Act 2025 there is no fixed term. The tenancy runs monthly and you give two months’ notice whenever you want to leave. If the Preston job does not work out, you are not stuck with a twelve-month contract.
